Darn
by Pauline Clarke
I tried to catch a firefly,
last night out on the lawn.
Its little light blinked on and off,
and on and off,
and on.
I cupped my hands,
and reached for it
but all I caught was air.
As I was reaching for it here,
it showed up over there!

Pauline,
I love your poem and I think children of all ages will love it, too. Everyone has tried to catch a firefly.

Pauline:
Your poem reminds me of summer nights and dewy grass and the adventures of trying to catch a firefly.
You captured those treasured moments in time.
